About Barbara Dille...

Barbara has been a professional dog trainer for nearly 45 years, specializing in obedience and conformation. She founded her own highly successful training school in 1974, offering group lessons in obedience, breed handling, and was the first trainer in Westchester County to offer "Puppy nursery school". She sold her business in 1996 to focus on private consultations and continues to group classes for other training venues, including Port Chester Obedience Training Club, and the villages of Scarsdale and Pleasantville.

Barbara is a member of the National Association of Dog Obedience Instructors (NADOI) and also holds professional member status in the association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT). She is currently president of the all breed Saw Mill River Kennel Club, Inc. and past president of both the standard Schnauzer Club of America and the Knickerbocker Standard Schnauzer Club.

Barbara is the author of Standard Schnauzer, 

A Complete and Reliable Handbook, and two other books published in the U.S and Great Britain. Over the years, her standard schnauzers have won many group placements, Specialty Best in Show and High in Trial awards. Barbara has been invited to lecture on obedience and conformation in the former Soviet Union, Brazil, Germany and Australia as well as in the United States. In addition, she has served as an expert legal witness on canine behavior.

In private consultation and in groups, Barbara focuses on teaching her students how to avoid behavior problems and provide solutions for existing concerns - stressing positive methods - for both conformation and obedience.

About Cathy Dille Burdick...

Cathy's life-long hobby turned professional when Barbara invited her to join Dille Canine Connection as associate director in 2004. Her training "career" began when she was six years old, working her neighbors' dogs in obedience classes.

A graduate of Muhlenberg College, Cathy brings a background of communications and behavioral psychology to the business.

In addition to offering private consultations, Cathy teaches group classes for the villages of Scarsdale and Pleasantville.

Cathy holds professional member status in the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, and is an active member of Saw Mill River Kennel Club, Inc. She also belongs to the Standard Schnauzer Club of America, and the Knickerbocker Standard Schnauzer Club.
